Daddy's not home

Daddy has to travel for work and won't be home for the next few days. Had a brief video chat with Eli and it broke my heart when I saw him cry over at the other end the minute he saw me on his screen :(

Toy: Tomica World Highway Busy Drive

Was at Takashimaya earlier in the evening and some instinct of mine led me to check out the toy department. Guess what? There was a discount going on for Tomica toys! 20% off regular priced items. I simply couldn't resist. Snagged a couple of cars and the Tomica World Highway Busy Drive! The Highway Busy Drive is an extension to Eli's existing Super Auto Tomica Building. Installation was straight forward.  

I've left the playset assembled in the living room. Can't wait to see Eli's expression when he sees it tomorrow morning! Will definitely take a video then and post it up.

Product: Weapons of Mass Destruction (Appliances)

Seeing that Eli's not up and I have some spare time. Thought I would take this opportunity to introduce my little arsenal of appliances:

Got this from China. Not sure if its available in Singapore. Its a water warmer. A Real life saver. Keeps the water warm @ 40degrees (or whatever temperature you set). Makes preparing formula milk a breeze.

My trusty sterilizer. Don't really use the other functions. Tried steaming food with it and it doesn't really work. Later found out that its actually a Food warmer. haha.

The Chopper. Solely used for blending fruits for Eli. Again, don't really use the steaming function.

Day 32: Fast forward

Didn't manage to snap pics of Eli this morning as I was out grocery shopping. Left Eli in the hands of Grandma while I was away.
His cough, highly likely caused by the haze, seems to be better now without any medication.

So while Eli's napping, Dad started preparing his lunch:

Sliced Unicurd Egg Tofu

Diced Corn, Honey baked Ham, Egg Toufu. Later added into Half cup of rice, stirred them up together and left to cook in the rice cooker for 45mins

1/2 tbl spoon of dark soy sauce & a piece of Cod fish was added to the sliced egg tofu, and was placed on the upper deck in the rice cooker

Second time this week Eli's having the same menu for Lunch. Hehe. Hey, I'm new at this. Bet Eli's cool with it :D
Eli usually naps in the afternoon for about 1hr - 3hrs depending on his activities after waking up in the mornings. Lunch will be ready by the time he gets up.

Night: Good night everyone

Eli spent the entire day at home today again due to the Haze.
His day ended early. He fell asleep right after his night feed @ 8:20pm.

Day 31: Another new day

As per yesterday, Eli rushed to his play yard as soon as we were in the living room. And to his current favourite toy:

Hard boiled egg (Seng Choon)

Breakfast cereals (Farmhouse Full Milk, Cheerios & Kellogg's Corn flakes)

Breakfast was served right after he changed into his daytime singlet

Toy: Tomica's Hino Fire Truck No.108 - Tomica shop edition

So, Eli and I were at the Challenger road show @ Orchard Ion about a month back and we bought a few Tomica Car models as they were going at 20% discount. There was a lucky draw and we submitted our entry. Received an sms about 2 weeks ago informing us that we've won a Hino Fire Truck No.108. Wasn't too pleased at first because Eli has that particular model already. The Haze wasn't so bad yesterday so I decided to collect the prize. Lo and behold! Its a special edition Hino Fire Truck. Its painted in white and has Tomica Shop printed on its sides! Fantastic addition to Eli's Tonica collection!

Spotted the cranes in the background at a Traffic junction and thought i would make a nice photo for the Hino Fire Truck. Also, haze visible in the background.

Today's Lunch

Here's what dad prepared for Eli today:

Steamed Cod fish with Egg Tofu  

Steamed rice with diced apple baked ham

and some Diced carrots and corn on the side

The Haze this morning

The Haze this morning was bad. Eli started to cough and wheeze in his sleep and its been disturbing his sleep. May bring him to visit the paediatrician if his cough doesn't get better. I wonder why there aren't any N95 mask available for toddlers.

 

Didn't seem to mind having it on as long as Ah Ma has it on too

Got this from Watsons, Shenzhen, about a year ago, says on the pack that they're good for 3years.

Day 30: Without his mother

Its been 30days since she left. Elijah's now very attached to me. Hasn't been crying for his mom for weeks. Seems like he has finally forgotten about her. Which isn't that bad. Really.

Got this for Eli yesterday and he has been tinkering with it since he woke up this morning. Beats watching the videos on Youtube repeatedly and endlessly if you ask me.
