Eli's helmet!

Eli's finally ready to begin his outdoor balance bike journey. He started manuvering the Firstbike all by himself recently without much supervision. Pushing the bike with one leg and the other suspended, u-turing and all. Thats when I know he's ready to conquer the outdoors with it! 

So we went down to The Bike Settlement @ waterloo street yesterday to get Eli a helmet.

Unfortunately, they do not carry elbow and knee guards for children. Gotta get those elsewhere.

The helmet comes with 3 different padded inserts for a snug fit

It's Elijah's Birthday!!!

Decided to go with an actual birthday cake instead of the 3D cakes that are all the rage nowadays. 

It's a simple Strawberry Short (number) cake from FLOR Patisserie!

Check out the amount of Strawberries covering the top of the cake.

Impromptu trip to Legoland Malaysia

Took us 5mins to decide to go this morning, and 10mins to pack, and we're off!
The plan was for Eli to catch his afternoon nap in the car on the way there, and it's working out so far!

Got this from Ikea on Wednesday. It's very straight forward to assemble and very child safe. Eli loves it so much! He has been playing with it alot till today. I'm now considering whether or not to get the other sets to extend the railway!

Bling for Eli

Well Daddy had to travel for work again. These caught my eye as I was walking past the store. "I had to get it" was all I that I could think of. Sent Eli's mom a pic of it and she immediately instructed me to get a matching white top for him. haha. Can't wait to get back to put it on Eli!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Brought Eli out in his costume today. We made a trip to United square as there was a halloween event for children organised by Toys R us. Also picked up some *cough* Tomica toys for Eli before we left for River Safari Halloween night.

Dinner: Pasta is served

Dinner is served! Vehicle shapes aren't as obvious after cooking. What's important though, is that Eli liked it! 

Apple baked ham bits and Broccoli added to the Carbonara sauce. Al Dente pasta!

Pasta Di Semola

The last time Ah Kor came to visit, she brought a pack of vehicle shaped pasta for Eli. Don't know Eli managed to get hold of it this morning. He's been playing with the pack since. Guess I'll have it prepared for his lunch later today.

Got Eli a new toy when I was at the petrol station refuelling yesterday. Pretty good quality for its price, imo. Assembly was pretty straight forward. A 5 year old would have no problems putting it together with a little adult assistance. I'm eyeing the parking facility which will be available next month.

Lunch: Daddy's back with a vengence

The last time I prepared spaghetti bolognese, let's just say Eli didn't really super duper liked it. Today, I'm gonna get him hooked onto Spaghetti Carbonara. I'm so confident.

Pan fried the Chopped - Broccoli, Oyster Mushrooms, Chipolatas & Apple Ham

Added the Carbonara sauce

Boiled the Spaghetti concurrently

Eli Loved it. He finished the whole plate!

Day 64: Playmate - Ashley

Brought Eli to visit his younger cousin, Ashley, yesterday. It was like a scene from The clash of the Titans. Two hyper actives playing together was like mixing up reactive chemicals waiting to blowup. Eli did enjoy himself and so did his cousin :)

Day 63: Housekeeping

Was overseas over the weekend and couldn't post any updates. Eli was up early this morning and as soon as he got to the living room, he started housekeeping. Starting off with his treasure chest. 

Toy: Skylanders

Found a new lease of life for the Skylanders. For people who do not know, these are character figurines from the Console video game series (Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation, Microsoft Xbox), Skylanders. Eli seems to like them alot. And it looks like he's starting to role play with them! Haha.

Day 60: River Safari Singapore - Video

Let Eli guide you through the River Safari Singapore in this 20 minute video. Apologies for the shaky video. Maybe its time to invest in a Gimbal.
It took us about 30minutes from Start to Exit, as you will see in the video, Eli loves to run around. He only stopped mid way at the bridge for some water and rest.
Hope'll you enjoy the video as much as we did preparing it.

Day 59: Lunch timing back to normal

Started preparing lunch today at 1pm. Hopefully Eli'll finish his lunch without much `coercing'. Decided to prepare Pan fried Prawns with mushroom. Lets see if Eli likes it.

Was feeling adventurous, so I added a bit of Fresh milk into the prawns. Turned out quite nicely. Eli loved the new menu! Yeah!
